Emergency Work
During the course of the year, the D.P.W. performs various emergency repairs or other work to continue to provide the village and its residents services. To facilitate repairs temporary disruptions in services may occur. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
In the event of a water emergency information will be available on the D.P.W. and Village websites. To report a problem if no information is posted, or for additional information, please call the village office at 434-2922 during office hours, or the Menands Police at 463-1681.

REMINDER: Trash
TRASH SCHEDULE
REGULAR TRASH PICK UP (MONDAY / TUESDAY)
Trash may be placed directly in your trash cans or in CLEAR or WHITE plastic garbage bags. Colored bags will not be collected. Do not place trash curbside before 6 P.M. the evening prior to pick up. We ask that you return the empty cans to your property in a timely manner. If there is a Monday holiday, your trash pick up will be on the next day and there will be no special Wednesday pick up that week.
SPECIAL PICK UP (WEDNESDAY)
You MUST call the Village Office (434-2922) at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a pick up of bulky or out of the ordinary items (furniture, etc.) Do not put items out until pick up has been scheduled. We will not take tires, TVs, computers, propane tanks or hazardous waste materials. If you wish to dispose of all appliance's such as a refrigerator or stove, you must call and schedule the pick up a few days in advance. When there is a holiday in the week, there will be No special pickup that week.
WEIGHT & SIZE LIMITS
Limit the weight of filled trash cans to approximately 40 lbs. for the safety of our crew. Maximum allowable size of receptacles is 45 gallon.

- Medical Waste
- Propane Tanks
- Contractor’s materials (contractor responsible for disposal)
- Tires
