Emergency Work
During the course of the year, the D.P.W. performs various emergency repairs or other work to continue to provide the village and its residents services. To facilitate repairs temporary disruptions in services may occur. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
In the event of a water emergency information will be available on the D.P.W. and Village websites. To report a problem if no information is posted, or for additional information, please call the village office at 434-2922 during office hours, or the Menands Police at 463-1681.

Recycling

Glass bottles and jars (all colors), Cans, Plastic bottles and containers.
MUST BE SEPARATED FROM
Newspapers, Corrugated Cardboard (broken down), Office Paper (all colors), Junk Mail (including envelopes and coupons), Telephone Books, Magazines & Catalogs, Computer Paper, Brown Kraft Bags, Paper Egg Cartons, Box Board (empty cereal boxes & shoe boxes) and Soft Covered Books.
RECYCLING (THURSDAY/FRIDAY)
A recycling bin should have been dropped off by Department of Public Works, If there hadn’t been one dropped off, you can call 463-5114 (Tim Boyd, Foreman). You may also use your own recycling bin if you prefer. If a holiday falls on Thursday or Friday, your recycling pick up will be on Wednesday; also there will be NO Special Wednesday pick up that week.
