During our active period the auxiliary played a bigger role in our community with different fundraisers and community events.  Such as Pancake Breakfast’s, Turkey Dinner’s, Fish Fry Dinner (during Lent) and around the holiday’s we would generously give to either a local organization or community neighbor in need.  We were also very successful with our very own Village Cookbook.  Recipes were collected from village residents and compiled into a cookbook for all to purchase.

We have in the past marched in the various Fire company parades both local and distance, our annual installation of officers along with the fire company ceremony is usually held at a local establishment with dinner and dancing.  Our company Christmas dinner is in conjunction with the Menands Fire Company and in June our meeting is held in Ganser Smith Park with a picnic to follow.  We contribute each year to a scholarship to a graduating Menands Student in the form of a savings bond.
