SPOTLIGHT ON MENANDS BUSINESS-MAY 2010
We are devoting this month’s SPOTLIGHT to a review of our latest Menands Business Breakfast that was held on April 30 in the Fire House Hall. The breakfasts are held in the Spring and the Fall each year to provide an opportunity for the mayor and the Village Trustees to spend some time with our business owners and representatives in order to get to know them better individually as well as to learn more about their businesses.
The breakfast was attended by 30 individuals from our business community as well as Village officials and department heads and other staff. The centerpiece of the event was the introduction of the new Village website which has been developed under the direction of Project Co-Chairs Trustees Meg Grenier and Mark Lansing with the help of Village Clerk-Treasurer, Bill Smith. The goal of the Website Committee was to make the Village website more user friendly and to update and improve the information available for public access.
Our featured speakers for the breakfast were our consultants for the new website, Brian Rozmierski of Warped-Minds.Com and a Village resident, as well as Brian Mertik of BAM Graphics. These gentlemen explained the development of the new website to the attendees and explained its features.
Please take the time to check out the new website at www.villageofmenands.com
