MENANDS VFW MEMORIAL POST 5989

The membership wishes to thank the auxiliary for all they have done for the community and for the veterans.  We are sad to see that they have turned in their charter and moved their existing membership over to the Wigand Post 8444 in Albany, N.Y.  This is what happens when participation dwindles and officer positions cannot be filled.  They gave a nice donation to the V.A. and could no longer carry on.  Thank you Auxiliary!

Anyone who has a family member joining or currently in the Armed Forces should contact Earl Jones (462-2596) for their Blue Star window display if they do not have one.  One display for each serving member will be given by the Menands Memorial Post 5989.

Any Veteran wishing information on VFW Post 5989 should also contact Earl Jones.
