The Council located at 272 Broadway provides business operations support for charities throughout New York State.  There are over 1,600 member organizations that benefit from CCSNYS services.

Founded in 1927, CCSNYS moved to the former Menands Manor several years ago.  The historic building provides a unique setting for meetings, training sessions and community events.

CCSNYS helps member not-for-profits with technical assistance and training for their staffs as well as offering insurance, risk management programs and employee benefit plans.  CCSNYS is an advocate for their members at the State and National level.

Douglas Sauer, Executive Director, and a staff of over 30 individuals primarily located in Menands provides these services.

One of the special features is the annual “Camp Finance” which is held under the auspices of their Nonprofit Accounting Service Center (NASC).
