Also, the Pumpkin Project that began in June was completed this week with the baking of pumpkin bread. 61 loaves of bread were distributed to the Catholic Charities homeless shelters and programs. A special thank you to Erin Landers of the Menands Market, Jessica Lansing of Lansings Farm, Menands School, especially Principal Toni Schroeder, the Garden Club and the 7th grade Home and Career students and teacher, the Menands Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Joyce O’Brien and the Rainka family for making this project possible.
Both projects will mean a lot to those in need. Menands is a great community.

HELP PLAN YOUR LIBRARY’S FUTURE
The Menands Public Library is about to craft its new five year plan. The library’s Board of Trustees will try to envision five years into the future and then establish the means by which we can meet this goal. We need your help to envision the future. The Board of Trustees needs your comments and suggestions in order that the library can successfully serve the village.
In the library there will be a suggestion box to write down your suggestions or comments. You can also go to the library’s website at www.menandslibrary.org and log onto our Facebook page or email the library at zapalal@uhls.lib.ny.us.
