The Village of Menands is located wholly within the Town of Colonie, North of the City Albany on the western bank of the Hudson River.

Location:
2 Exits off I-787 (6 & 7W) connecting to Routes 32 & 378
Route 32 (Broadway) is a 4+ lane state route that runs the length of the Village.  

Route 377 (VanRensselaer Blvd.) is a 4 lane state route that runs from the Albany City line at the Wolfert’s Roost Country Club to the Colonie Town line at Albany Rural Cemetery.

Route 378 (Menands Road) is a 4 lane state route running from the Colonie Town line to the Troy-Menands Bridge and I-787.

Route 32 is a main thoroughfare and CDTA bus route.
CP Railroad also runs a freight line track through the Village.


Village Hall:
The Menands Village Offices, Police Department and Menands Volunteer Fire Company #1 are located  at:

250 Broadway  (Route 32, just 1 mile from north of the Albany City line).

LIBRARY:
The Menand Public Library is located at 6 Lyon Avenue.  The library offers many programs and amenities.

BUSINESS:
There are over 150 Businesses located in the Village employing over 5,000 people.  Businesses range in type from commercial and services industries to manufacturing; agriculture to professional services; broadcasting and telecommunications to retail and distribution.  All these businesses are located along the Broadway corridor.
