VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
The Village Board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007. All meetings are open to the public and are handicapped accessible.
VILLAGE WATER/SEWER INVOICES
The water/sewer bills were mailed out on July 1, 2007. If you did not receive them call the Village Office at 434-2922.
BUILDING PERMITS REQUIRED
Please call the Village Building Inspector at 434-2922 if you are planning any construction projects; pool, and roof or shed installation, etc. Be advised it takes approximately one week from receiving an application to the issuance of a building permit.
DOG COMPLAINTS
The Village Office is once again receiving complaints concerning dogs running loose and leaving “deposits” on resident’s lawns. There is a leash law as well as a “pooper scooper” law in the Village. Tickets will be issued and fines will be assessed to violators.
MENANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief O’Brien wants to remind residents that, now that the summer recess has begun, to secure bicycles and other property and not to leave anything lying around in the yard where it may be accessible. There have been some non-resident youths wandering through the Village attempting to steal bicycles. Patrols have been successful in preventing a recent attempt, but residents should be alert for any suspicious activity and report same IMMEDIATELY to the Police Department.

MENANDS SENIOR CITIZENS
Come join us for fun, history and some mini mysteries on August 27th . Do something you have never done before. The dinner choices are: Ham Steak with Raisin Sauce, Chicken Cordon Bleu or Salmon Steak. All of the dinners include salad, vegetables and a surprise dessert. The cost is $35. Get your reservations in early by contacting Arnold at 869-3020 or Ken at 434-0916. More clues to follow in later activities.

Tie Dye Party – July 28th - Help Mrs. Neuman celebrate her birthday at 1 p.m. or 7 p.m. Please bring a prewashed cotton tee shirt & wear old clothes. You Must Register for this event. Registration begins June 25th .
Wonderfully Wacky Wednesdays – July 18th to August 15th at 10 a.m. Storytime for the younger set! Drop by the library every week for a new story based on this years theme “Get a clue @ your library”. There will be songs, crafts and snacks.
Feature Film Thursdays – July 19th to August 9th at 12:15 p.m. Better known as Lunch and a Movie! We’ll screen a different film relating to this years mysterious theme. More information will be available at the library. Registration will be required.
Totally Craftastic Thursday Evenings – July 12th to August 9th at 7 p.m. Elementary students can drop in for a story and craft or science fun!

The Class of 2007 graduation photographs have arrived at school. 8th Grade graduates may pick one up on the main office of the school.
