SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The Menands School Board of Education would like to thank all of you who were able to participate in the Community Focus Groups on October 23, 2006. Your role in the search for a new Superintendent/Principal for the Menands Union Free School District is crucial to the process. The quality of your insight, representing the many constituents of our District, will be vital as we proceed forward with the search. A questionnaire has been developed, listing the same four questions that were posed on October 23rd . Anyone who was not available to attend this meeting is invited to respond to those questions by November 10, 2006. Please visit our web-site
INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS
When there is inclement weather, residents should tune to WGY, WROW or WTRY radio as well as TV channels 6, 10 and 13 for school closings or late openings. When school is canceled during the day, after school and night activities at the school are also canceled. If you have changed home/work phone numbers or emergency contacts, please contact the Menands School (465-4561). If the Menands School is closed due to weather, transportation to high schools and private schools will be at the discretion of the Menands UFSD Superintendent of Schools. If the Menands School is opening late due to the weather, all bus runs will be delayed in Menands. For example, if the Menands School is opening one hour late, then all buses transporting students outside the district will also be running one
hour late.
