To help fund Bethany Youth Group’s trip to our next Reach Work Camp, we are again selling Christmas trees and wreaths.   The wreaths are hand-made from fresh cut Balsam and Douglas Fir trees.  Wreaths are available decorated with a large bow and ornaments for $20 or undecorated for $15.  Beautiful Balsam and Douglas Fir trees are available for $25. If you would like to place an order for a wreath or tree, please call 785-6061 or 462-2574.  We are limiting wreath orders to 100 this year so order early.

SNOW REMOVAL & SNOW EMERGENCIES
When shoveling snow, please do not throw the snow in the street.
It is the responsibility of the owners or occupants of a home or business to keep the sidewalks clear around their property.
In the event a Snow Emergency is declared in the Village of Menands, motorists are prohibited from parking their vehicles on Village streets for 24 hours.  Violators will be towed.  If a heavy snowfall is predicted, we suggest you park your vehicles in your driveway or find other off-street parking.  This will greatly assist our DPW in plowing our streets more efficiently.         If you have any questions, feel free to call the Village Office at 434-2922.

LEAF PICK UP
The Village leaf vacuum continues to operate…however, the chance of snow is just around the corner. So get those leaves out to the curb as soon as possible.  Once the plows are mounted on the trucks, we will no longer be vacuuming leaves.  Collection of biodegradable leaf bags will continue.

Items to be included in next edition of the Menands Activities, dated December 17, 2004, must be received in the Village Office by 9 a.m. Monday, December 13th
