Thank you to everyone that helped us reach out to those in need!
To help fund Bethany Youth Group’s trip to our next Reach Work Camp, we are again selling Christmas trees and wreaths. The wreaths are hand-made from fresh cut Balsam and Douglas Fir trees. Wreaths are available decorated with a large bow and ornaments for $20 or undecorated for $15. Beautiful Balsam and Douglas Fir trees are available for $25. If you would like to place an order for a wreath or tree, please call 785-6061 or 462-2574. We are limiting wreath orders to 100 this year so order early.

Carol will be missed by both her co-workers and the residents of Menands she served. A party in her honor is being planned for January. Best of Luck, Carol!

ROTARY NEWS
THANK YOU
The Rotary Club of Menands and the Menands Fire Co. #1 wish to thank the community members who supported the October Defensive Driving Course and Red Cross Blood Drive helping to make them a success. A survey of those donating blood indicated a strong base of regular donors. Both of these community programs will be held again in late Spring.
UPCOMING MEETINGS: At Rotary’s Tuesday, November 23rd luncheon meeting at Atria Shaker, Cindy Schmehl will explain Rotary’s Zimbabwe Mission. On December 7th, Ken Bauer will recall his “Memoirs of a WWII Veteran”. Community members interested in attending may call Mel Horowitz at 449-8817.
INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS
When there is a snowstorm or any weather that might threaten the normal running of the school, residents should tune to WGY, WROW or WTRY radio as well as TV channels 6, 10 and 13 for school closings or late openings. Also, when school is canceled during the day, after school and night activities at the school are also canceled. If you have changed home/work phone numbers or emergency contacts, now is the time to call Menands School (465-4561). If the Menands School is closed due to weather, there will be NO transportation to any school outside the District. If the Menands School is opening late due to weather, all bus runs will be delayed in Menands. For example, if the Menands School is opening one hour late, then all buses transporting students outside the district will also be running
one hour late. These procedures are enforced because we feel that if road conditions are such that it is too dangerous to transport pupils to the Menands School, then it is also too dangerous to be transporting students out of the district.
Items to be included in next edition of the Menands Activities, dated December 3, 2004, must be received in the Village Office by 9 a.m. Monday, November 29th
