Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Menands was called to order by Mayor Thomas G. Coates at 6:39 P.M.

Trustee Lansing offered the following resolution 2nd by Trustee Lane a resolution increaseing the Village of Menands Water Rates in effect since November 1, 2004 by 10% effective May 1, 2008.

Trustee Lansing offered a resolution, seconded by Trustee Lane, to adopt Local Law #1 of 2008.
A LOCAL LAW OF THE VILLAGE OF MENANDS AMENDING SECTION 135-58 RELATING TO SEWER RENTS, IN RELATION TO THE RATE THEREOF
Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Menands as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 135-58 of the Code of the Village of Menands, as amended by Local Law #1 of said Village for 2009, is hereby amended as follows:
Such sewer rents shall be computed semi-annually and the basis therefor shall be a percentage of the water bill charged to all premises or real property within the Village connected with or served by such municipal sewer system or such part or parts thereof for water supply by the Village to such premises, and shall be equal to sixty percent (60%) of said water billing.
SECTION 2. This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and filing pursuant to the requirements of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
A motion was made by Trustee Lansing seconded by Trustee Lane to adjourn.
